Elite Hotel Esplanade

Super conveniently located, with clean rooms and very friendly, helpful staff, from concierge to cleaning. Have stayed here multiple times and the rooms are all very consistent - spacious and spotless, although some of the fixtures have begun to show their age a little. The biggest fault is the noise pollution from the nearby roads and other guests: cleaning lorries consistently male a lot of noise between 6:30 and 7, and whilst the guests are generally the well-behaved variety, the inner walls are thin enough that you can hear every word of a reasonably quiet conversation. Honestly, though, the overall experience is grand. Happy to recommend!

A Mixed Experience. We stayed for two nights in a superior room, which was surprisingly spacious. The room's size was a definite plus, providing ample space to unwind and spread out. However, it did have a somewhat old-fashioned vibe, which might not be to everyone's taste. One notable drawback was the housekeeping service, or rather the lack thereof. Unfortunately, our room was not cleaned during our stay, which was a significant oversight and a letdown for any traveler. On the culinary front, the hotel's restaurant was a shining star. We enjoyed some delicious meals during our stay, and the restaurant staff was friendly and attentive, making dining here a pleasure. On the flip side, the bed in our room was a bit too soft for our liking, and the pillows left something to be desired. Comfortable sleeping arrangements are crucial for any traveler, and in this aspect, there was room for improvement for one of the most expensive hotels in the area.

Staff is very rude and not helpful. The attitude was cold and uncomfortable. The room has a menu for the minibar, which says you can order sparkling wine, wine, drinks etc. We called room service to ask if we could buy some, which we apparently could not. The receptionist didn’t want to elaborate or help. She was very dismissive. Definitely not coming back.

This hotels biggest advantage and disadvantage at the same time is it‘s location. If you are searching for a very central hotel, with friendly staff, good breakfast buffet and mostly fine rooms, go for it. If you dislike noisy areas and find it hard to sleep while hearing the nearby bars/clubs most of the night, this place is not for you. Even rooms facing the backyard in the upmost floor are not quiet at all. At least on weekends. Sadly this is of course nit the hotels fault. The surrounding restaurants and bars seem to have a special permit to ignore any noise regulation (according to hotel staff, who is very aware of the problem).

Great Hotel near the Lilla Torg. Surprisingly the room was very quiet considering that it is close to the most noisy area of Malmo. The room was spacious, modern and clean. The breakfast was huge, with a lot of options and local ingredients. The staff was very polite and willing to help us. We enjoyed it a lot during our 3 nights there.
